In 1985 a Catholic Priest plead guilty to sexually abusing 11 boys in the state of Louisiana. The priest was convicted and sentenced to jail time. After some time he was given probation with certain limitations as to where he lives and works. In Texas, there are specific rules for all sex offenders who live and reside here. The former priest, Gauthe, has been living in a houston suburb for quite a while, and still has been unregistered. Police arrested him on Monday and set a $200,000 bail for him this week. Since he has been arrested, he is now required to confirm all of the information as far as his residence, employment status, and personal data. By law he is also required to update this information every 90 days for his entire life. Gauthe is now in jail being very cooperative with police and waiting for his court to go before a judge.
