96 Young Men Arrested for Drug Charges at San Diego State University

May 7th, 2008 · No Comments

About six months ago, some undercover officers began pretending to be students on San Diego State University. These officers began to infiltrate the fraternity and becoming friends with all the right people to collect evidence on all of the drug dealing and usage that was going on on-campus.

Authorities say that there was a widespread drug use going on in the fraternity and they were trying to get enough evidence to make major arrests. The officers have been pretending to make friends with all the party hosts and getting involved with all of those that were using or selling the drugs. The officers were accepted by the students without question from anyone.

Yesterday morning, the officers finally had enough evidence to make significant arrests. They arrested 96 men, which included 75 students from the university. The officers had gained access to 7 different fraternities on Fraternity Row. The men were all charged with a variety of drug charges. The officers also collected an assortment of things in the bust including marijuana, psychedelic mushrooms, two kilograms of cocaine, 350 Ecstasy pills, a few guns, and more than $55,000 in cash.
