Young Man Assaults a Little Girl over the Holiday Weekend

July 7th, 2008 · No Comments

A 17 year-old Austin man has been charged with first-degree aggravated sexual assault over the holiday weekend.  The young man admitted to sexually assaulting the girl while she slept on the living room floor on Friday morning.  When the girl woke up, she repeatedly told him to stop and he did not.  Afterwards, she reported the incident to her mother.

The boy had been a guest in their house, having stayed there for only a month.  The man’s offense is considered to be a first-degree felony.  His bond is set at more than $20,000.

Felony charges are a serious deal.  Though this man admitted to committing the crime, we still don’t know how the story will progress.

If you feel that you or someone you know has been wrongly accused of committing a crime, call the criminal lawyers of the Morales and Navarrete law firm at 866.812.4596.

Inadequate Security Measures may be to Blame for Governor’s Mansion Fire

June 27th, 2008 · No Comments

News of the highly destructive June 8th Governor’s Mansion fire spread across the nation very quickly.  After an in-depth investigation into the incident, disturbing information has been released about the effectiveness of the security force on-duty that evening.

There was only one state trooper working that night.  This same trooper had just finished an 8-hour shift of the Texas History Museum.  Not only was the trooper overworked, but he was also undertrained.  According to his attorney, the troop decided to overstay his shift just so that someone could be there that night.

Things were not in his favor that night, as seven of the twenty total security cameras were broken.  None of the motion detectors were engaged due to the fact that they were disabled for repairs.  The investigation concluded that poor planning is blame for the catastrophe.

Threatening Phone Calls Left at the Hogan Home

June 19th, 2008 · No Comments

In light of recent events, the Hogan home has been met with more than its share of domestic issues.  A divorce, a tragic accident, all intertwined with estranged and withering relationships continue to drag the family out into the spotlight.

The progression of events has made me wonder at what point we must ask about the level at which things are taking place.  Fox News has recently reported that the Hogan home, after all this trouble and toil, has been receiving threatening emails in response to the tragic accident that took place not long ago, involved family friend John Graziano.

Apparently, Frank, John’s brother, left a message threatening the lives of both Hogan and his son Nick.  In addition to directly insulting the women of the family, Frank alluded to having a hit on Nick’s life.

When dealing with criminal law, we must be careful not to provoke feelings of resentment that go beyond one’s control.  For more information on criminal law, please contact that Austin, Texas criminal law specialist, Morales and Navarette.  You may reach them by calling 866-812-4596.
